New Skype Integration for Calls

New Skype Integration for Calls

This may come as no surprise, but Skype happens to be the world’s most popular video chat and voice call services application. Currently, Skype is available for Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, as well as Android, Blackberry, and both Apple and Windows smartphones and tablets. To take your experience yet another notch higher, we have just released the Skype integration in Agile CRM.

Time and again, we have emphasized the importance of using voice calls in your sales and marketing processes. From driving conversions to increasing customer retention, a hearty voice chat can do wonders for your RoI. Agile CRM’s telephony feature set includes everything you need to track customer communications and new sales prospects.

While Agile customers have had the best of telephony integrations like Twilio and Bria, Skype integration takes it to a completely new level.

How to Set Up Skype Integration

To set up the integration, open your Agile dashboard. Go to Preferences > Widgets, select the Telephony tab (it should be selected automatically),and click Add under Skype. Then just follow the on-screen instructions and you’ll be making Skype calls in the CRM in no time!

What does the Skype Widget do?

With the new Skype widget, you can call directly from your Agile dashboard to any other Skype account. This integration gives you following advantages :

1. Make outbound calls directly from the dashboard using your Skype client.
2. Receive inbound calls directly in the app.
3. Take call notes once your Skype call ends. These remain attached to details in the CRM.
4. See call details as soon as a call is completed.
5. Once you’ve enabled the integration, we automatically track calls with your Agile contacts.

Better still, being on a Skype call does in no way hinder your other dashboard tasks, You can view campaigns and reports, view detailed contact histories, add tags, and so much more. With a complete sales and marketing solution at your service, chatting on the phone just took on a new dimension.

Calling in Agile CRM isn’t just about sales, it’s also about customer experience. Let’s keep giving customers what they deserve: total care and complete engagement!

Hi Lewis, Skype, at this time, doesn’t provide support for Mac. We will support Skype integration for Mac when Skype supports it.

Hi Jorge Currently, Skype doesn’t support MAC functionality. We’ll be providing the MAC functionality once Skype provides the capability. We cannot commit to any timelines on this as this is dependant on Skype support.

I tried to download the executable file, but it's a .jar file - when extracting the jar file, there is no clear executable. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Hi Tom Skype integration works on java machines. Please make sure you have Java installed on you machine. Jar file can be downloaded & run on the Java installed machine. Once you download the jar file, double clicking it will launch it.Once the connection is established, Skype can be used. if you still face issue please connect with our support at https://www.agilecrm.com/support

Are you able to use this with Skype for Business, i.e. make calls to DDI numbers, and not just other Skype accounts? And is there call recording like Twilio? Thanks.

Hi Adam Currently, we do not support Skype for Business. You can make DDI calls from you regular Skype account and Agile CRM integration will have no impact on this functionality.

Hi Lucy, Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, there is no possibility to send text SMS via Agile-Skype integration. We would request you to add the request to our UserVoice (https://agilecrmcom.uservoice.com/). Based on the votes we will take up the feature request.
