How to Build a Landing Page with Agile CRM

Landing pages are now one of the core menu items in Agile CRM. To create a new landing page, just login to your Agile CRM account and follow these simple steps:

  1. Select Landing Pages from the main menu
  2. Click on Create Landing Page or Add Landing Page
  3. Choose a template by clicking Go underneath the template image (to see a preview first, just click on any template image)
  4. Edit your page in the Landing Page Editor
  5. That’s it! Just remember to Name your page and Save your page 😉
  6. After you’ve created landing pages with Agile CRM, they will appear in a list on your main Landing Pages page

The landing page editor includes two main menus and a code editor. Let’s take a quick look at each option.

Elements

The Elements menu offers a full range of items, forms and modifications. Since our editor features the same drag-and-drop simplicity as our marketing automation workflows, you don’t need to know code to add or modify elements. Just drag any element (such as a new button) onto your landing page, then click on the element to edit it.

Elements Menu in the Landing Page Editor

Your Agile Forms (web forms created in Agile CRM) will also appear here. This is the easiest possible way to integrate Agile CRM’s marketing automation features with your new landing pages.

Inspector

The Inspector menu makes it easy to modify the look and feel of your new landing pages. You can change attributes, appearances, text styles and more. You can also select which elements will appear on different devices (Mobile, Tablet, Laptop, Desktop).

Inspector Menu for Landing Pages

At the bottom of the Inspector menu, you’ll find two options: Preview and Change Device. Click Preview to see how your new landing page will appear in a web browser. Click Change Device to change between Mobile, Tablet, Laptop and Desktop views of your landing page.

Code Editor

The code editor lets you edit HTML, CSS & JS directly in a floating window on top of the landing page being edited. You can easily re-size the window or change the display.

Landing Page Code Editor

If the code editor looks intimidating, don’t worry! You don’t have to use it. You can always just use the visual editor. We’re committed to make a product that’s tech-savvy (your dev team will love it) but also extremely user-friendly (if you’ve been put off by overly technical CRMs, marketing automation platforms or landing page builders, we’re here to help!).

Thank you for all of your comments on our blog post announcing the upcoming landing page builder. Keep sharing the love on Twitter, Facebook and beyond.

This is fantastic! I hope you can build in a feature like LeadPages "leadboxes" where you use a button link to launch a pop-up with the opt-in form, instead of embedding the opt-in form directly on the landing page. Statistics show that actionable buttons like "leadboxes" convert better and have a higher quality of engagement in their list.

Hello - great new feature, thank you. I am an Enterprise user - are these Landing Pages fully responsive? Your builtin forms didn't used to be and I had to use a third party solution. Thanks,

Hi Robert, thanks for your comment/query. The good news is that all our default templates for the landing pages are fully responsive.

This is great news. Wondering if this same type of editor and new templates are planned for the email templates in the campaign section. I find those template cumbersome to work with. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Chik, Yes, we are planning for new, responsive Email templates for the campaigns section pretty soon as well. You will hear about these shortly.

This is a real advancement, thanks. Can I second the recommendation made by Taylor above? That is, have a CTA button that opens a popup containing the lead form. I am also a big fan of the 2 step optin. The popup contains a Yes Please and a No Thanks option. Anyway, thanks for this really positive improvement.

Couple of things that could be great are: 1. Allow insertion of merge fields from the database. Often called PURLS. This way we can send a link with details from the CRM already and get further questions answered. 2. Put an email signup button with Google, Facebook or Linked in. This gives a quick one click signup ability and suck the allowed data from these services (and proactively keep it updated if the user changes it in on their service of choice)

Hi as a new member of agile I agree with above posts that the two step opt in should definitely be a feature of the landing pages as forms are a bit dated. Has this feature been added yet or is it in the works of being added because this feature is the only thing keeping me to leadpages. Of course eventual leadlinks and leadboxes would be beneficial too.

I too am looking to not need lead pages anymore, but the one feature missing from the landing page builder is the ability to deliver a PDF freebie with the signup. Right now it's a very involved process without using lead pages integration.

Hi Taylor, your absolutely right, I believe there is a way around it. I currently have landing pages with aweber and leadpages and as soon as someone opts in, my aweber sends the first email from campaign which is the pdf. I know leadpages allow you to upload the pdf so its sent automatically but at least its possible to set this up. The main feature I can't live without is the 2 step opt in as forms are definitely old school marketing.

I have few questions how this will work together wiht Wodpress. Can I use Gravity Forms on your landing pages? Can I set up own domain for each landing page inside one wordpress installation or do I need to do new wordpress installation for each domain? How does Google indexes these landing pages? Can your landing pages be used with Yoast SEO?

Hi Please find my answers in-line - Can I use Gravity Forms on your landing pages? No. Currently you have to use Agile form for the our landing pages. Please do let me know specific business case/advantage for using an external form provider and I can suggest a workaround. - Can I set up own domain for each landing page inside one wordpress installation or do I need to do new wordpress installation for each domain? Would request you to please write to care@agilecrm.com for detailed answer on this question. How does Google indexes these landing pages? As these pages are part of your sub-domain these are indexed like any other page of your website. Can your landing pages be used with Yoast SEO? We are working on our WP integration. Meanwhile for your SEO needs, in the Landing Page Builder we have provide a section ( at the bottom ) to fill in details like Title, Description, Keywords which can make the pages search friendly.

Hi, Recently I am facing an issue with my landing pages created with Agilecrm, like its not accepting meta robots and canonical link in the head section of the page. Even I am not able to create a txt page for robots.txt page as its get overridden as an HTML page, which is not allowing me to disallow pages. As most of the times we are creating multiple pages with same content in different look for AB testing and we may not to get some pages crawled by google and other search engines. It would be good we can use above features.

Hi Ram As of now, we can set meta title, meta description and meta keywords. By default all the landing pages created with agile are allowed by search engines to crawl. Please write to care@agilecrm.com for us to resolve your issues.

Google's quality score rating is often a totally automated system that determines this number. This is because they'll not need to squeeze into a distinct segment in order to be in a position to entice website visitors to see their work. Many people earn money buy buying websites and flipping them for profit.
